After posting a .413 batting average at Clemson in 2023, Amick transferred to Tennessee last offseason, where he compiled a .307/.389/.645 slash line with 23 home runs and 65 RBIs during their championship-winning spring season. With experience at first base as well, Amick is expected to be a first-round pick and is a potential target for the Braves at pick No. 24.
Gage Miller (Alabama)
Another standout from the SEC, Miller is poised to be selected in the early rounds after an impressive season at Alabama. Following his transfer from JUCO, Miller recorded a .381/.474/.702 slash line with 18 home runs and 56 RBIs, showcasing versatility across multiple infield positions.
Dub Gleed (UC Irvine)
Outside the top rounds, Gleed is a name to watch, having played all infield positions over the past three seasons at UC Irvine. He holds a career .856 OPS and is coming off a strong season where he batted .351/.469/.550 with six home runs and 35 RBIs.
Could any of these prospects join the Atlanta Braves after the 2024 MLB Draft? If not, here are a few additional third basemen the Braves might consider targeting in the early rounds: Carson DeMartini (Virginia Tech), Kale Fountain (Norris, NE), Robert Hipwell (Santa Clara).
