USC football gained significant size this Tuesday with the commitment of three-star 2025 offensive lineman Elijah Vaikona from Santa Margarita (Calif.). Vaikona chose USC over offers from UCLA and Washington.
Previously at Xavier Prep High School in Palm Desert for his junior season, Vaikona transferred to Santa Margarita in the Trinity League this offseason. You can view highlights of Vaikona’s junior campaign above.
Standing at 6-foot-8 and weighing 370 pounds, Vaikona ranks as the No. 1,201 overall prospect and the No. 87 offensive tackle in the 247Sport Composite. He is also ranked as the No. 113 offensive tackle prospect by 247Sports.
Vaikona marks USC’s second offensive line commitment for the 2025 class, joining three-star interior offensive lineman Willi Wascher from Washington. His commitment elevates USC’s 2025 recruiting class to the 20th spot nationally, comprising a diverse group of talented prospects including quarterback Julian Lewis, linebacker Matai Tagoa’i, and defensive lineman Hayden Lowe.
USC’s offensive line coach Josh Henson has previously secured five offensive line prospects from high schools in 2024 and 2023, indicating a continued emphasis on bolstering the offensive line in the upcoming 2025 cycle.
