SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Building on a historic 2023-24 season and entering his third year as the Peterson Family Head Swimming Coach, Chris Lindauer has unveiled Notre Dame’s plan to integrate seven new transfers for the upcoming season.

Meet the New Irish:

Gigi Baldacci — Alamo, Calif. // Breaststroke
Hailing from the Bay Area, Baldacci joins Notre Dame after four standout years at Boston College. Her notable times in breaststroke are 1:01.34 and 2:14.01. Baldacci is an alumna of Boston College’s Carroll School of Management and Carondelet High School.

Jack Callan — Owasso, Okla. // Freestyle
Continuing Notre Dame’s tradition of attracting top graduate talent, Callan transfers from Michigan, where he excelled over four years. Specializing in freestyle, Callan clinched third place in the 500 free at the Big Ten Championships with a time of 4:24.72. His personal bests include 9:14.93 in the 1000 and 15:19.21 in the 1650. Callan began his swimming career at Trident Aquatics and attended Bishop Kelley High School.

Katie Drumm — Hinsdale, Ill. // Freestyle, Backstroke & Butterfly
Drumm returns to the Midwest after starting her collegiate journey at Boston College. In her freshman year (2020-21), she set program records with times of 23.15 in the 50 free and 54.76 in the 100 fly. Drumm also broke the school’s 50 fly record with a time of 24.61.

Greta Kolbeck — Hanover, Germany // Freestyle
After an impressive freshman year at Miami (OH), Kolbeck relocates to South Bend. She was crowned MAC champion in the 500 free with a time of 4:47.44 and secured numerous dual meet victories in various freestyle events. Kolbeck previously excelled in Germany, finishing fifth in the 200 freestyle at Nationals and winning state championships in multiple events.

Yurii Kosian — Odesa, Ukraine // Freestyle & Backstroke
A graduate of Kenyon College, Kosian brings a wealth of sprinting talent to Notre Dame. He boasts 16 All-American honors and captured two Division III national titles in the 400 medley relay in 2023 and 2024.

Imogen Meers — Bromley, England // Freestyle & Backstroke
Meers arrives at Notre Dame following a distinguished career at Rice University, where she dominated the American Athletic Conference. She claimed conference titles in the 50 free (22.23), 100 free (48.80), and 100 back (53.33), all of which were personal bests. Meers, a former member of the Conference-USA Honor Roll, earned her undergraduate degree in computer science and French.

Lainey Mullins — Hockessin, Del. // Freestyle & Butterfly
Mullins joins Notre Dame after a promising freshman year at Virginia, highlighted by her sub-2:00 performances in the 200 butterfly, including a standout 1:57.59 at the Tennessee Invitational. A decorated high school athlete, Mullins was ranked No. 33 nationally in the 2023 class by SwimCloud.com, boasting eight All-American titles, 12 state championships, and qualifying for the Olympic Trials in the 200 fly.

These additions underscore Notre Dame’s commitment to enhancing its roster with top-tier talent, positioning the team for continued success under Coach Lindauer’s leadership. As the 2024-25 season approaches, anticipation grows for how these transfers will contribute to the program’s pursuit of excellence in collegiate swimming.
