It appears Tommy Armstrong has found a new team close to home. Initially linked with the Alliance of American Football (AAF) League in Salt Lake City, alongside former Huskers like Kenny Bell and De’Mornay Pierson-El, Armstrong has instead signed with the Nebraska Danger, an indoor football team based in Grand Island, NE.

Last summer, I attended Fire School in Grand Island, where we received tickets to watch the Nebraska Danger play. It was quite entertaining, although we had to leave at halftime for dinner. Had Tommy Armstrong been quarterbacking for the Danger that day, we might have stayed longer.

This signing is likely to boost attendance at football games in Grand Island, marking a significant development for the Danger, who are surely excited about the news.

Armstrong was a somewhat controversial figure among Nebraska quarterbacks, but I’m confident that fans from Grand Island and across Nebraska will make the trip to see him play this summer, which they might not have done otherwise.

Heck, I might even take the kids.
