Former LSU offensive lineman Kardell Thomas has made a significant decision regarding his collegiate football career, revealing his next destination for the upcoming season.

Thomas, who originally hails from Southern Lab High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, began his journey with LSU in 2019. Despite redshirting his true freshman year, he made a notable start to his college career. However, his playing time was limited in subsequent seasons, appearing in only one game in 2020, six games in his sophomore year, and four games during his junior campaign.

In pursuit of more playing opportunities and a fresh start, Thomas made the decision to transfer to Florida A&M (FAMU). His time with the Rattlers proved to be productive, as he played a pivotal role in their outstanding 12-1 season. This experience not only showcased his skills but also solidified his contribution to the team’s success.

Now, Thomas is ready to embark on a new chapter in his collegiate football journey by joining Central Missouri. The Mules, a Division II powerhouse, concluded their recent season with a commendable 11-2 record. Although their playoff run ended in the second round against the top-ranked Harding team, their performance underscores their potential and competitiveness.

For Thomas, the move to Central Missouri represents an opportunity to further develop his skills and make a significant impact on the team. His ultimate goal is to help the Mules compete for a Division II National Championship during his senior year. With his experience and determination, Thomas aims to contribute both on and off the field, bringing his leadership and talent to a program poised for success.

As he transitions to Central Missouri, Thomas remains focused on achieving his personal and team-oriented goals. His journey from LSU to FAMU and now to Central Missouri highlights his resilience and commitment to excelling in collegiate football, promising an exciting chapter ahead in his football career.
