NFL fans on Twitter can sometimes be a bit over the top. On Wednesday, when Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts was limited in practice due to a sore hamstring, there was quite a stir online. Pitts even had to clarify his status for Week 1 by tweeting, “I’ll see you all on Sunday,” in response to the growing concern.

The focus shifted to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday as quarterback Russell Wilson was also limited in practice after re-aggravating a calf injury. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin informed the media that Wilson would be undergoing further examination by doctors.

Earlier, Tomlin had warned Falcons head coach Raheem Morris to be prepared for a Justin Fields package when the teams meet on Sunday. With Wilson now dealing with an injury, fans on Twitter are increasingly anticipating that Fields will play a significant role in Week 1.
