Seahawks Eyeing Browns Lineman in Potential Trade Deal

The Cleveland Browns are facing financial challenges and will likely need to make some tough decisions about their veteran players. With the 2025 NFL Draft approaching, the team has an opportunity to inject fresh, younger talent into their roster. This presents a perfect chance to trade veterans for additional draft picks, which could help them address their future needs.

One such player who could be on the move is Wyatt Teller. Ian Valentino of “The 33rd Team” has predicted that the Browns will trade Teller to the Seattle Seahawks. In his scenario, Cleveland would send Teller, along with the No. 179 overall pick, to Seattle in exchange for the Seahawks’ No. 137 overall pick. Valentino believes this move makes sense for both teams: “Teller, at just 30 years old, remains a top-tier pass blocker and a dominant force in the run game. Though he missed four games last season, his trade value has not diminished significantly. The Browns would benefit from clearing future cap space and bringing in younger talent, while Seattle could use a solid veteran in exchange for a Day 3 pick.”

To bolster their offensive line depth, the Browns recently signed former Chicago Bears offensive lineman Teven Jenkins, who could serve as a backup behind Teller and Joel Bitonio, or even step into a starting role if needed. However, with the Seahawks bringing in Sam Darnold as their new quarterback, they are under pressure to strengthen their offensive line. Teller’s proven experience could be the key to helping Seattle improve its interior protection.

Despite the Browns’ struggles on the offensive line last season, Teller continued to perform at a high level. With his big salary and the fact that he is entering the final year of his contract, Teller has been a likely trade or cut candidate for weeks. Moving him could allow Cleveland to acquire a valuable draft pick, which would further benefit their long-term strategy.

From Seattle’s perspective, they may be willing to pay a higher price for Teller if it means solidifying their offensive line for Darnold. As the offseason progresses, Teller might be one of the few realistic options available to improve their interior line. Therefore, this trade could be an attractive option for both sides as they look to prepare for the upcoming season.
