Titans Announce Quarterback Change as Cam Ward Talks Heat Up”

The Georgia Bulldogs are currently facing uncertainty at the quarterback position. Carson Beck, who had been the team’s starting quarterback for the past two years, transferred to the Miami Hurricanes earlier this offseason, leaving the Bulldogs searching for a successor. To make matters more challenging, the team is still in pursuit of a quarterback for the 2026 recruiting class. However, the Bulldogs might not be without a promising signal-caller for much longer. Recently, four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley visited Georgia, and his experience appears to have been very positive.

Bentley had high praise for his time spent with Georgia’s head coach, Kirby Smart. Speaking with On3’s Steve Wiltfong, Bentley emphasized the strong connection he felt with Smart, highlighting their shared intensity and competitive nature. “Had a great conversation with Coach Smart,” Bentley said, noting that their similar approaches to competition were a major point of connection. Bentley also mentioned that Georgia’s practice session was the best he had witnessed during his recruiting trips, further indicating his favorable impression of the program.

At 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, Bentley is ranked as the 10th-best quarterback prospect in the 2026 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Additionally, Bentley is considered a top 125 recruit overall and one of the top 20 prospects from Texas in his class. Along with Bentley, Georgia is actively recruiting five-star quarterback Jared Curtis, who ranks as the second-best quarterback in the 2026 class. Curtis is reportedly choosing between Georgia and the Oregon Ducks, and the Bulldogs are closely monitoring his decision.

Should Georgia fail to secure Curtis, it’s expected that the Bulldogs will turn their attention to Bentley as a potential quarterback of the future. As of March 17, Wiltfong noted that Curtis’ decision could come soon, so Georgia’s recruitment efforts could become clearer in the near future. Bentley, for his part, will be playing his final high school season in Celina, Texas, where he will continue to showcase his talents.
