Jordan Burch, a defensive end for the Oregon Ducks, became a key player during the 2024 college football season, quickly establishing himself as one of the team’s most dominant defensive forces. At 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 295 pounds, his blend of size, strength, and agility set him apart on the field.

In Oregon’s 31-10 win over Michigan State on October 4, he delivered a standout performance, recording a career-high 2.5 sacks, four tackles, and his first career fumble recovery. This stellar display earned him multiple accolades, including Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, Reese’s Senior Bowl Co-Defensive Player of the Week, and Shrine Bowl Breakout Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Throughout the season, Burch remained consistently dominant. He registered at least one sack in six of the ten games he played and applied constant pressure on quarterbacks in nine games. His relentless energy and disruptive play were key to Oregon’s defensive successes.

Off the field, Burch showed leadership qualities, becoming a vocal presence and mentor within the defensive line. Working with defensive line coach Tony Tuioti, Burch focused on increasing his muscle mass, boosting his weight from 285 to 298 pounds, which further enhanced his strength and agility.

He also demonstrated impressive athleticism in drills, showcasing his flexibility, foot speed, and balance. The NFL Network gave him a prospect grade of 6.27, indicating a projected “average starter” in the NFL.
