For the first time in Essendon Football Club’s proud history, the Bombers have surpassed 100,000 members, a monumental achievement that marks a new era of passion, unity, and belief. Leading the charge in this historic moment is none other than fan-favorite midfielder Darcy Parish, whose excitement and energy have become the heartbeat of the club both on and off the field.

Parish, a former No. 5 draft pick and one of the club’s most consistent performers, has long been a symbol of loyalty and growth. As the Bombers launched their aggressive 2025 membership campaign earlier this year, Parish became the face of the push — fronting ads, engaging with fans, and making surprise visits to local clubs and schools.

“It’s honestly overwhelming in the best way,” Parish said, smiling as he helped unveil the 100K milestone banner at the Hangar. “To know over 100,000 people are standing with us — backing us — it gives me and the boys an unbelievable sense of pride. We want to make them proud every single week.”

The significance of the achievement isn’t lost on the Essendon faithful. After years of fluctuating fortunes and finals heartbreak, the Bombers are beginning to re-establish themselves as a powerhouse — not just through results, but through connection and identity. Parish has become a central figure in that revival, embodying the fighting spirit and heart that Essendon fans hold dear.

“Darcy represents what this club is about — tough, loyal, and passionate,” said Bombers CEO Craig Vozzo. “This record-breaking membership milestone wouldn’t have happened without the genuine bond our players, like him, have built with the community.”

For Parish, it’s more than just numbers.

“When I run out onto the field and hear that roar, I don’t take it for granted,” he said. “We’re building something special here. And with 100,000 strong behind us, I reckon we’re just getting started.”

As the Bombers eye September glory once again, one thing is certain: the red and black army is bigger, louder, and more united than ever.
