USC Has ‘Great Shot’ at Landing Top-5 Weapon for 2026 Class
Just when it looked like USC might be wrapping up its 2026 recruiting class after landing four-star edge rusher Luke Wafle, another big name may be on the way.
According to On3’s Scott Schrader, the Trojans remain firmly in the mix for more elite talent — including top-five wide receiver Ethan “Boobie” Feaster. Schrader reports USC has a “great shot” at securing Feaster’s commitment, despite already holding 30 verbal pledges in the class.
Feaster, a dynamic 6-foot, 175-pound speedster from DeSoto High School (TX), visited USC during the week of June 6–8 and plans to announce his decision on July 8. Though Alabama is reportedly out of the running, LSU and Texas A&M remain strong contenders, with LSU currently trending.
NIL opportunities will heavily influence Feaster’s decision — and USC is reportedly well-positioned.
“USC’s NIL opportunity is near the top,” Schrader said, while also noting that Texas A&M offered the most aggressive deal following Feaster’s visit to Los Angeles.
Despite stiff SEC competition, USC’s strong pitch, offensive system under Lincoln Riley, and NIL potential keep the Trojans very much in the race.
If USC pulls this off, Feaster would be the 31st commitment in the class and a major offensive weapon to watch. The Trojans might not be done yet — and they’re clearly swinging for the fences.
