Nelson Pierre Secures Permanent Move to Vancouver Following Loan Spell
The Philadelphia Union have confirmed the permanent transfer of Homegrown forward Nelson Pierre to Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2. The deal includes an undisclosed transfer fee and a percentage of any future sale. Pierre initially joined Vancouver on loan back on February 27, 2025.
Pierre, a product of YSC Academy, signed a Homegrown deal with the Union on February 21, 2023, becoming the club’s 20th Homegrown signing. During the 2023 campaign, he featured for Union II, tallying four goals and four assists in 28 appearances, including 15 starts.
In 2024, Pierre gained experience through loan stints with Swedish side Skövde AIK and USL club Charlotte Independence before making the move to Vancouver Whitecaps 2.
