After seeing nearly 25% of their roster depart for the NFL Draft and through the transfer portal, the Oregon Ducks have responded impressively, quickly rebuilding their depth with a strong blend of veteran transfers and top-tier high school talent. Their aggressive recruiting strategy is paying off, as they continue to bring in high-potential players from across the country.

The most recent addition to Oregon’s growing talent pool is four-star wide receiver Kesean Bowman. Hailing from Nashville, Bowman draws early comparisons to NFL standout DeVonta Smith of the Philadelphia Eagles due to his similar physical profile.
Standing at 6 feet and weighing 170 pounds, Bowman possesses a frame that was once seen as undersized for a wide receiver. However, Smith has proven that size isn’t everything when it comes to making an impact at the highest level, paving the way for players like Bowman to follow suit.
Still just a high schooler, Bowman has plenty of room to grow—both physically and developmentally. By the time he arrives in Eugene as part of the 2027 class, there’s a strong possibility he’ll have added both height and muscle, further enhancing his potential to shine in the Ducks’ offense.
