Breaking News: Broncos WR Josh Reynolds Speaks Out After……

Veteran wide receiver Josh Reynolds joined the Denver Broncos in the 2024 offseason with high hopes of providing a much-needed boost to the team’s struggling passing game. Coming off a successful tenure with previous teams, Reynolds was brought in to potentially become a key weapon for rookie quarterback Bo Nix. However, his time with the Broncos was marked by unfortunate setbacks, including a serious hand injury suffered in a game against the Raiders. That injury landed him on injured reserve and kept him off the field for months.

In addition to the injury, Reynolds became a victim of a terrifying shooting incident in Denver in October. While driving in his vehicle, Reynolds and others were shot at. He was hit in the left arm and the back of the head, but fortunately, he survived with what were described as minor injuries. The traumatic experience added to the challenges of his recovery, complicating his return to the field.

The Broncos eventually made the difficult decision to release Reynolds, despite the fact that he had been practicing fully for three weeks. Head coach Sean Payton explained that the move was driven by roster numbers rather than a lack of support for Reynolds. The team expressed regret that they couldn’t keep him, given his positive contributions and potential. Shortly after being waived, Reynolds was claimed off the waiver wire by the Jacksonville Jaguars, who secured him on a contract through the 2025 season.

For the first time since the incident and his departure from Denver, Reynolds spoke to the media about his ordeal. Reflecting on the traumatic event, Reynolds acknowledged the difficulty of the situation but emphasized that he was focused on moving forward. “It’s one of those things I’d rather put behind me. But anybody going through that, man, it’s a crazy ordeal. But I’m here now. I’m in sunny Florida. I’m just blessed to be here,” he said. He also credited the Broncos organization for offering tremendous support during his recovery. “A lot of the organization over there was helping me out a lot, so they made it easier for me to transition through that whole process.”

While Reynolds’ time with the Broncos was brief, he did make an impact during his stint, catching 12 passes and providing a deep threat. His last play in Denver was a touchdown reception in the game against the Raiders, marking a bright spot in an otherwise challenging season. Now, as he embarks on a new chapter with the Jaguars, Reynolds could benefit from the fresh start, potentially seeing more playing time and a larger role in Jacksonville’s offense. It’s a promising opportunity for him to put his past behind and continue his career in a supportive environment.
