The Notre Dame Fighting Irish wrapped up the college football season as national championship runners-up, finishing second to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Notre Dame ended the season with a strong 14-2 record, securing wins over Indiana, Georgia, and Penn State in the College Football Playoff. Additionally, the Irish picked up four ranked victories during the regular season, defeating Army, Navy, Louisville, and Texas A&M.
Despite their successful season, which included a national title appearance, several players announced they would be transferring.
On Monday, wide receiver Deion Colzie confirmed he would transfer to Miami (Ohio) after four seasons at Notre Dame, according to Pete Nakos.
During the 2024 season, Colzie recorded one touchdown and 41 yards on five receptions. Over the course of his career at Notre Dame, he accumulated three touchdowns and 345 yards on 21 catches.
Colzie was originally recruited to Notre Dame as the No. 14 wide receiver and No. 117 overall player in the class of 2021, according to 247Sports.
Now, Colzie will join the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks, who finished the season tied for first place in the MAC with a 9-5 record and a 7-1 mark in conference play. Miami (Ohio) lost to Ohio, 38-3, in the MAC championship but ended the year with a 43-17 win over Colorado State in the Arizona Bowl.
