Broncos Make Big Strides in CBS Sports’ Top 100 Players of 2025
It’s that slow stretch between OTAs and training camp — the perfect time for NFL lists to flood the spotlight. And this year, CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco dropped his annual Top 100 NFL Players for 2025, with some good news for Broncos fans: three Denver players made the cut, a jump from just one last year.
Patrick Surtain II | CB | No. 9
“The top cover corner in the league,” Prisco writes. Surtain made a major leap from No. 24 last year, but as the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, some would argue he belongs even higher. Only one defender ranked above him: Myles Garrett at No. 2.
Quinn Meinerz | OG | No. 51
Unranked in 2024, Meinerz now cracks the top 100 after an All-Pro season. Dominant in both run and pass protection, he’s quickly become one of the best guards in the league. His rise is a massive win for Sean Payton’s offense.
Garett Bolles | OT | No. 72
Another newcomer to the list, Bolles earns praise for his elite pass protection on the left side. While not known as a punishing run blocker, his football IQ and fit in Denver’s scheme make him a key piece up front.
Where’s Bo Nix?
No love yet for rookie QB Bo Nix, but don’t panic. Only one rookie QB (Jayden Daniels) made the list. With time, Nix’s emergence could help Denver push more names into future rankings.
The Takeaway
From one to three players in a year, it’s clear the Broncos are gaining recognition. With five All-Pro nods in 2024 and momentum under Payton and Nix, Denver looks primed for a resurgence — and the league is starting to notice.
