The Oregon Ducks are off to a strong start in their 2027 recruiting efforts, currently holding the No. 9 class in the nation. With four-star talents Kesean Bowman and Cameron Pritchett already on board, the Ducks are looking to add more elite prospects to their lineup.
Among their top targets is four-star safety Jayden Aparicio-Bailey, a standout being pursued by top programs across the country. Oregon head coach Dan Lanning has shown strong interest in the Alabama native, who has become one of the most coveted defensive backs in the class.
In an interview with Rivals, Aparicio-Bailey mentioned Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, and Oregon as the schools currently leading the way in his recruitment. While he’s taken several visits to ACC and SEC schools over the summer, he has yet to travel west to visit Oregon.
“All the visits I’ve taken so far have been great,” Aparicio-Bailey said. “I’ve built strong relationships with coaches at each school. I’m now working on attending games at those programs — including Oregon. I’m looking for a place that offers stability, strong development, and the right connections for life after football.
”

Rated as the No. 24 safety and No. 275 overall prospect in the country by the 247Sports Composite, Aparicio-Bailey has established himself as one of Alabama’s top defensive backs in the 2027 cycle. He currently holds over 20 offers, with more expected as he heads into his junior year.
If he chooses Oregon, Aparicio-Bailey would follow in the footsteps of fellow Alabama native Cameron Pritchett, a four-star defensive lineman who committed to the Ducks on June 2. Aparicio-Bailey’s commitment would further strengthen Oregon’s growing recruiting pipeline into the Southeast.
