Collingwood midfielder Jordan De Goey has been given the green light to return this weekend when the team travels north to face Gold Coast.
After a season plagued by two separate injuries, limiting him to just eight games so far in 2024, De Goey is set to make his comeback since Round 10.
Confirming the news, Collingwood coach Craig McRae stated, “Jordy’s trained well. He’s had a good week and he’ll play. We were hopeful this would be the game, and he’s met all the necessary criteria.”
Alongside De Goey, veteran Scott Pendlebury and forward Brody Mihocek, who both suffered injuries in Round 11, have also been cleared to return against the Suns on Saturday

However, not all news is positive for Collingwood, as small forward Lachie Schultz will miss the upcoming match due to gastroenteritis, while vice-captain Isaac Quaynor is working to overcome illness to be available.
Premiership defender Oleg Markov will be back after recovering from a back issue that sidelined him in Round 14, and forward Joe Richards could return pending a fitness test, having shown rapid recovery from a fractured metatarsal sustained in Round 11.
