Four-star wide receiver prospect Tanook Hines has announced his commitment to USC football. Hines revealed his decision on social media on Monday, confirming his intention to join the Trojans.

Standing at 6 feet 1 inch tall, Hines currently attends Dekaney High School in Houston, Texas, and is part of the highly regarded Class of 2025. His commitment follows an official visit to USC on May 31.

Hines garnered attention from numerous other top-tier college football programs, receiving offers from schools such as Texas, Texas A&M, Arizona State, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Houston, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Penn State, Notre Dame, and TCU, among others, according to 247Sports.

In his high school career thus far, Hines has accumulated impressive stats with 85 receptions for 1,343 yards and 12 touchdowns. Additionally, he excels in track and field, boasting a swift 100-yard dash time of 10.45 seconds.

USC continues to strengthen its roster with Hines’ commitment, particularly bolstering its receiving corps. Recent successful recruitment efforts have brought in talented players like Brenden Rice, Jordan Addison, Cornelius Johnson, and Zachariah Branch. Joining USC offers Hines the opportunity to contribute to a program renowned for developing top-tier receivers.

Hines marks the fifth recruit rated four stars or higher to commit to USC for the Class of 2025. With Hines being the highest-rated among the three receivers in this class, USC’s 2025 roster now includes 14 committed players.
