The Green Bay Packers’ emerging offensive stars are starting to leave their mark on the franchise’s record books, and their potential to climb the all-time statistical leaderboards is more significant than you might expect. Though still early in their careers, several key players are showing promise of becoming some of the franchise’s greatest.

Consider Jordan Love, for example. After just one season as the Packers’ starting quarterback, Love has already climbed to 11th place on the franchise’s all-time passing yards list. With 4,765 yards under his belt, he is approximately 1,200 yards shy of Cecil Isbell, who holds the 10th spot. If Love manages to rack up 4,000 yards in the 2024 season, he would leap to the 7th position, just trailing Don Majkowski. Given his current trajectory, it’s likely Love will break into the top five in the near future. Tobin Rote, who occupies the fifth spot with 11,535 yards, is well within reach if Love maintains his strong performance.

Love’s impact isn’t limited to just passing yards. He also finds himself in the top 10 for career passing touchdowns with a total of 35. This places him ahead of many past Packers quarterbacks, but just behind Majkowski and Isbell, who have 56 and 61 touchdowns respectively. If Love can replicate or surpass his previous year’s performance, he could overtake these two veterans within the next season. With two more consistent seasons, Love could even break into the top five in career passing touchdowns, a list currently topped by Rote, who has 89 touchdowns.

The Packers’ rushing statistics show less movement at the top. Aaron Jones, who was third on the team’s all-time rushing list before his recent departure, remains far behind Jim Taylor, who holds the second spot. While Jones’ successor, Josh Jacobs, is yet to record rushing yards for Green Bay, he has already moved up the list in a somewhat unusual way. Jacobs has technically surpassed 27 former Packers who ended their careers with negative rushing yards. Tim Boyle, notably, holds the record for the least effective rushing performance with -16 yards.

Though AJ Dillon may not ascend to the very top of the Packers’ rushing charts, he still has the potential for significant upward mobility. Currently, Dillon sits at 17th with 2,428 rushing yards. By the end of the upcoming season, he could move into the top 15. Dillon is just behind James Starks, who has 2,506 yards, and surpassing Eddie Lee Ivery’s 2,933 yards would place Dillon in 15th.

In terms of receiving statistics, the Packers’ young players have considerable ground to cover. Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson are the leading active receivers, with 1,099 and 1,033 yards respectively. Even if either player were to achieve a 1,000-yard season this year, they would only reach around 35th place in the Packers’ all-time receiving yards. A more modest projection of around 600 yards would move them into the mid-40s historically, still not significantly altering the overall rankings, although they would surpass legendary figures like Paul Hornung and Jim Taylor.

Both Doubs and Watson have made notable contributions in the touchdown department. Watson, in particular, has the opportunity to make a substantial impact this season. He is currently ranked 44th in career receiving touchdowns with 12. Adding five more touchdowns would propel him into a tie for 26th place alongside notable Packers such as Mark Chmura, Donald Lee, Bob Mann, and Robert Tonyan.

In summary, the young talents of the Packers are steadily making their presence felt on the team’s historical charts. With continued strong performances, Jordan Love, AJ Dillon, and the receiving duo of Doubs and Watson could soon find themselves climbing higher on the Packers’ all-time leaderboards, cementing their places in the franchise’s storied history.
