Michigan football had a strong weekend, highlighted by the commitment of 2025 four-star defensive back Jayden Sanders. Despite the loss of three-star wide receiver Phillip Wright, who moved to an SEC school, the Wolverines have improved their position in the team rankings. With Sanders on board, Michigan has climbed two spots in the 247Sports Composite rankings, now sitting at 14th overall, just ahead of Penn State but trailing behind Clemson and Texas.

In the Big Ten, Michigan now boasts the third-highest recruiting class, behind only Ohio State (No. 1) and Oregon (No. 9). Although they rank 14th overall, the Wolverines are 11th when looking at the average recruit rating, with a score of 91.70.

Michigan is working to enhance their class further, targeting four-star receiver Andrew Marsh and aiming for five-star offensive lineman Andrew Babalola.
