Jericho Sims is wrapping up his third season with the New York Knicks. The former Texas standout concluded the year averaging 2.0 points and 3.3 rebounds per game, with a shooting accuracy of 69.1% from the field across 45 games.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Knicks will guarantee Jericho Sims $2.09 million contract for the 2024-25 NBA season. Scotto reported, “New York Knicks center Jericho Sims will have his $2.09 million salary fully guaranteed for the 2024-25 season, according to league sources. Sims, who was drafted by New York as the 58th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, has been with the team for the past three seasons.”
Sims, selected 58th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft, has spent his entire career with the Knicks. Over 138 regular season games, he has averaged 2.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while maintaining a shooting percentage of 74.1%. He has also made five appearances in the NBA playoffs.
In addition to his NBA appearances, Sims played in two G League games last season. During that stint, he averaged 5.0 points, 15.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game, shooting 71.4% from the field.
The Knicks concluded the season as the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 50-32 record. They advanced to the NBA playoffs for the second consecutive year, where they initially triumphed over Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers but were eventually defeated by the Indiana Pacers in the second round.
