Jack De Belin of the Dragons

St George Illawarra Dragons forward Jack De Belin is weighing his options after confirming he has received offers from Super League clubs amid uncertainty over his NRL future.

De Belin, whose contract with the Dragons expires at the end of the 2024 NRL season, has been presented with a one-year deal by the club for the 2025 season. Speaking to The Illawarra Mercury, the 33-year-old expressed his desire to continue in the NRL with the Dragons but acknowledged the appeal of overseas opportunities.

“It’s getting to the point now where I’d like to get something finalised and put it behind me,” De Belin stated. “It’s nice to know there are some options overseas. But I still feel like I’ve got plenty to give in the NRL and I don’t really want to have to go over there. I feel like I’ve got so much to offer and I’m still at a high level here in the NRL.”

With 219 appearances for St George Illawarra, De Belin has been a stalwart of the club and has expressed a strong desire to remain a one-club player, hoping to conclude his career with the Dragons.

“As I’ve said, I’ve always wanted to be a one club man and hopefully that can be done and I can play out my career here at the Dragons,” De Belin emphasized.

The decision looms large for De Belin as he navigates his future in the NRL amidst interest from overseas, marking a pivotal moment in his storied career with the Dragons.
