After recovering from a torn Achilles that sidelined him for the first eight games of the 2022 season, Bowser made a notable comeback. He featured in the final nine games, including playoffs, where he logged four starts, three sacks, seven quarterback hits, and four tackles for loss.
Drafted by the Ravens in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Houston, Bowser quickly established himself as one of the league’s most versatile linebackers. His ability to disrupt from both the edge and in coverage made him a key player in Baltimore’s defense. His 2021 season was particularly impressive, leading the Ravens with seven sacks.
However, in a move to create $5.5 million in salary cap space, the Ravens released Bowser in March. Since then, the 29-year-old has been without a team, but the Seahawks’ decision to bring him onto the practice squad could prove to be a strategic one.
