St. Louis CITY SC has announced the loan of midfielder Njabulo Blom to South African Premier League team Kaizer Chiefs, effective Tuesday. The loan arrangement extends through June 2025 and includes a purchase option.
Sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel commented, “We wish Njabulo the best during his loan period in South Africa. This move offers him a valuable chance to gain more playing time at a high level and further his professional development. Kaizer Chiefs is one of the leading clubs in Africa.”
Blom, who joined St. Louis from Kaizer Chiefs ahead of their historic 2023 MLS expansion season, has contributed 2 goals and 1 assist in 42 appearances for the club.
With Blom’s departure, Eduard Löwen and Chris Durkin are expected to be the primary central midfielders for St. Louis, with summer acquisition Jake Girdwood-Reich providing additional depth.
