San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall has returned to practice less than a week after being shot. On Thursday, Ricky Pearsall was seen at practice in street clothes. While he wasn’t participating in any physical drills, he was walking around the field holding a football, clearly eager to join in despite not being able to fully engage.

Before practice, head coach Kyle Shanahan mentioned that Pearsall believed he might be ready to play in the season opener against the New York Jets. However, the 49ers have already ruled out that possibility.

The need to hold Pearsall back from more intense activities aligns with the reports following Saturday’s incident. Pearsall was shot in San Francisco’s Union Square area during an attempted robbery of his Rolex watch. Despite the alarming event, he seems to be on track for a full recovery.
